Sophie Baek Born into servitude and forced to work for her cruel stepmother and two wicked stepsisters, Sophie never imagined she would have her own Cinderella moment. Yet that dream becomes reality when she is given the chance to attend the Bridgerton Ball, dressed in a breathtaking silver gown and wearing a mask that conceals her identity. There, she encounters the notorious Benedict Bridgerton. Rumored to be one of the Ton's biggest—if not its most infamous—playboys, Benedict dreams of becoming an artist, though lately his passions have been more focused on women, wine, and a rather questionable ménage à trois. All of that changes the moment he lays eyes on a mysterious beauty dressed in shimmering silver, her mask revealing nothing but her lips. Captivated, Benedict becomes obsessed with finding the enchanting stranger. What he fails to realize, however, is that the woman he seeks has been right in front of him all along.
